The day has come, finally. I am leaving in a few hours for my semester abroad!!! People keep asking me if I'm nervous, excited, freaking out, stressed; I'm mostly just ready. Ready to finally be in Rome after months and months of planning and getting everything figured out for it. I think my excitement will come once I actually land in Rome and living abroad becomes real. Right now though, I am really not looking forward to lugging around all my bags (2 50 pound bags, a carry-on suitcase, and a tote bag). Probably too much, but I have to pack for summer, fall, and winter, right? We'll see how happy I am with this decision once I have to carry all this up five flights of stairs to my apartment :/
It's crazy that I'm leaving today, though. It feels like it was just the other day that I was filling out all application to study abroad. Hopefully this semester won't fly by as quickly! I'll miss everyone tons and will be sure to keep everyone updated.
Ciao, America. See you in a few months!

Stuff White People Like: #72 Study Abroad
As most of you know (or are just finding out) I am studying abroad in Rome this semester. Apart from my mission's trip to Australia, I've never really done any significant traveling outside of the US. This is going to be a completely new experience for me, and I want to be able to share it with anyone who is interested. So, obviously I decided that a blog would be the best way to do this. I know, I know super cliche of me to write a travel blog, but I figure this way I can give legitimate updates about my trip that consist of more than "Yeah, I'm learning a lot and having a lot of fun."
I'm not sure how often I'll be updating this, but I'll be sure to include extra exciting adventures/stories that (hopefully) won't bore you!
